Honeybee Homeschool Enrichment Program

In this homeschool enrichment program we merge exploration of the great the outdoors with handwork skill development.

Our Program

The Honeybee Homeschool Enrichment Program offers flexibly enrollment in either our ongoing nature based handwork program, or our project based workshops. We generally meet in the NELA area, at locations near Lincoln Heights, Montecito Heights, and South Pasadena.

Our ongoing nature based handwork program, focuses largely on nature connection and developing a wide range of handwork skills, based on age/skill appropriateness. An example of the handwork and ancestral skills we explore in depth include sewing, knitting, crochet, natural dye, pattern making and construction, weaving, woodworking, knot-tying skills and more.

We utilize high quality and as much as possible, sustainably sourced materials. Fostering a nurturing and respectful relationship with our materials and the lands that we are visitors upon.

Program Costs

1 day/weekly $400 per month

2 days/weekly $800 per month

The Honeybee Community Handwork Circle is an adult/child event that is held weekly. This circle is an offering intended to foster community and creative nourishment. Cost includes tutoring, patterns, and use of some materials.
